Another plate from my exhibition which was showing in London at Messums in Cork Street from 18th October to the 19th November.

The form of wheel thrown red Staffordshire earthenware, illustrated with a portrait of Freddie Mercury.
Background of high colour reminisent of Pop Art using slipware traditions of slip trailing and painting.
Finished with a transparent gloss glaze.
Box framed in a high gloss black lacquer moulding and glazed with Conservation Clear® Glass (2.5mm thickness)
Signed and dated, 2022 and impressed 'KS' on the back
