Fly By

M's birthday today so after presents we went in search of cakes to take with a flask of tea to Calgary.  What was available was not enticing, those compressed over sweet slabs don't do it for either of us.  So we decided on sausage rolls.  Have to admit they were disappointingly awful, partly because we'd inadvertently chosen the veggie ones.  But there really is no excuse, M has made some wonderful veggie ones in the past.  Maybe I'm just spoilt.

Some friends are coming round Friday evening so will make a special cake for then.  Always good to extend birthday celebrations.  Tonight will be a special meal and a facetime with R.

Not the best flying bird capture as was spinning round trying to photograph them as they took off.  But it will do for today's blip, they are such attractive birds.
