Today's Birds

We picked up my daughter and Frankie dog and drove them as close as we could get to the local lake. My daughter was tearful because Frank isn't well enough to walk there. 

As soon as she saw the water and the ducks Frankie perked up and wagged and barked as Ollie dog paddled. She loved it when we walked over the bridge lined with black-headed gulls. I photographed a lovely female mallard and a fearless moorhen. We all felt so much better after our outing. 

The buzzard was calling from the top of the hedge this afternoon.
