Christmas decorations !

The Christmas decorations have been installed here at the care home for elderly and demented clients who can no longer be cared for at home.
They are lovingly cared for here and the clients with dementia live together in small groups. Small forms of housing where they have their own bedroom, but live and eat together. They also have daytime activities, in the form of gymnastics, playing games
singing old songs together. When the weather is nice, take a walk or do something together, such as shopping or going to the zoo.
My mother used to live like this and she really liked it. She came back among the people. You couldn't offer what was done together with the clients at home. She has really blossomed, even though we visited a lot when she still lived at home. I often picked her up until it was no longer possible and did extra fun things with her. Too bad that corona broke out after 2 years. That was a tough time for us. She herself didn't understand anything about it ′′ her dementia was already far advanced ′′ but it was intense for us. We were no longer allowed to visit because they were afraid of contamination, only talking to her behind the window or Skype with her via the tablet. She couldn't understand it anymore. she could no longer call and via skype she did not know where to look. She then broke her hip, still had surgery! and before Christmas for 2 years ago she passed away. I miss her quite often. Especially when I drive past the home. I also quite like the outings we often made. I spent almost 8 years intensively with her after my father died suddenly. This has not been her nursing home, but when we walked by there and I was now going to post the photo, this story came to my mind again. December 10 marks 2 years ago.
