Patchwork time

This blip is from the Waitrose car park. I am sitting allowing the wee-est man a wee nap between music class and picking up the big wee man from nursery.

My days away from work are a real patchwork of time. Sometimes I am patching in activities or seeing friends or getting errands and often I find these patches have their own individual time scale. Einstein's theory of relativity has never been shown so well in practice than by the two hours before small people's bedtime ... they can seem to be the equivalent of a whole year!

In the midst of this existence I find myself forced to look at things like the view from a car park and then find interest while I have some peace and quiet to myself.

What did parents do before iPhones? ;-)
