Hope floats

This morning saw the grand launch of the Ards Man’s hand-built wooden kayak and joy of joys, it floated! And then carried him onwards into a beautifully calm Strangford Lough.

He launched from Whiterock, near Daft Eddie’s restaurant, so I guess there will be a celebratory cup of coffee once he’s out and dried. One of the AM’s chums went along with his canoe, too, so I was happy that he wasn’t all on his tod.
