girls do lunch

Took Mum and her lovely Danish friend B for lunch by the river.
An early Mother's Day celebration, avoiding the madness that are restaurants on Sunday, juggling families, kids and squished up tables.

This is a bowl of pea and coconut veloute with coconut foam. Very green, very groovy and absolutely delicious...even though it is pea soup!!
We munched our way through grilled scallops, bonito cream and crispy salted squid, gravalax, ocean trout with preserved lemon quinoa and some shared puds, including macaroon icecream and salted caramel.

So needless to say NO food tonight and a very big walk with A tomorrow (who will be allowed back in the now pristine 'forbie' (4wd) for the first time!)
