Cold caving
Didn't take my camera caving so instead stole pictures from one of the guys that did! This picture implies I was enjoying myself a lot more than I actually was! There was still quite a bit of snow lying around in patches, which was problematic when the entrance to the cave was somewhere around a big pile of snow! Snow-caving was certainly a first for me! Getting over the snow-ledge that had formed into the cave wasn't too hard, getting OUT on the other hand was much more interesting, especially because by that point I couldn't really feel my hands! Yorkshire caving is vertical mostly, a lot of waiting around for your turn to descend/ascend the rope, not great when it's freezing! Definitely prefer the more horizontal and definitely more aesthetically pleasing caving of South Wales!
