I'm hoping that the squirrel is NOT eating flower bulbs. I am hoping that the squirrel is eating acorns. Does the item in the extra look like an acorn shell or a flower bulb remnant? [Kate says they ARE acorns. Hooray!!] Now, the little one was digging in my garden. I caught him/her in the same spot twice and that spot is covered with chicken wire, so if it was still there when I laid the chicken wire down it is protected. 

Putin's former judo sparring partner, Vasily Anisimov, has left Russia and gotten Croatian citizenship. Several billionaires have renounced their Russian citizenship since Russia invaded. 

Yuri Milner, one of the 15 richest people in Russia joined that list. They left Russia after the annexation of Crimea in 2014 an completed renouncing their citizenship now. He moved to California and is the richest Russian in Silicon Valley. 

Ruben Vardanyan, former CEO of an investment bank, renounced his citizenship in September and moved to a contested region in Armenia/Azerbaijan. 

Timur Turlov, founder of an investment company, 34 year old billionaire, got citizenship in Kazazkhstan. 

France supports plans to create a tribunal on crimes committed by Russia. Russia is outraged. 

Yet another Russian fighter jet has bit the dust. The crew ejected, no casualties were reported. In October, independent media outlet The Bell reported that at least ten aircraft had crashed since the start of the war, none of them combat related. The problem may be lack of training or it may be a cavalier attitude toward maintenance. 

Croatia has cleared selling the $200m (£163m) superyacht owned by Viktor Medvedchuk, an oligarch and friend of Vladimir Putin. It is to be sold on behalf of Ukraine. It has cabins for 14 and space for 21 crew, as well as a 4-meter-wide swimming pool with “flowing waterfall cascading over the stern”.

In September another superyacht was sold for $37.5m. This one has a swimming pool, a 3D cinema room, a gym, a whirlpool bath, and a fully equipped spa. 

Lion cubs! Four lion cubs were borne in Ukraine during the war. Dr. Andrew Kushnir, a veterinarian working with the International Fund for Animal Welfare, prepared their milk formula every three hours, cleaned their enclosure, and, when they had no power, used his arms and legs to warm their milk bottles. He accompanied them to the US where they now live in specially designed space at the Wildcat Sanctuary in Minnesota.
