Leica Total Station

If, like me, you thought this was a Theodolite, then you would be a bit of a Troglodyte.

It is, instead, a Leica TCRA1101 Total Station which is a lot more sophisticated...apparently

It measure not only distance but angles.

I discovered all this when watching a quantity surveyor use it to define a property boundary.

Not only did he allow me to quiz him, but to photograph it as well
