*Added next day: I forgot the most important thing--the US lost to the Netherlands early in the morning, eliminated from the knockout round.
 
I watched the World Cup again:  Argentina beat Australia 2-1with the help of this goal, which I saw. It was the thousandth (1000th) in his career,  apparently, the first ever in the knock-out stage of a world cup.  A significant bit of history for him (and of course for me :)
