Tracks

The weather is getting quite depressing. Dark, foggy and drizzly again, no snow here in the valley, and a constant 2 to 3°C. We haven't see the sun for over a week now.

I did not go for the long walk I had hoped for. It started to rain just when I went out of the house, and I turned back quickly.

To my surprise I found some deer tracks in the muddy path, only a few hundred meters away from our residential area with its busy main road. They weren't very big, just about 5 cm long, so it's probably a roe deer spoor.

There are (bigger) red deer not far from here; in the Taunus forest where my mother lives. But they are rarer and shyer than roe deer.
