Stark beauty

This was beautiful as flower ring fennel
This is beautiful as a seed head
This will be even more beautiful through the winter when frost and snow settle on it… there is always, always,something beautiful to the eye that wants to see it.
I , on the other hand , don’t feel too “ beautiful “ after yet another hospital visit !
Grateful for our NHS and such quick treatment, though when local anaesthetic wears off I might feel less cheerful!
