Wintry walk

No sun today. A dusting of rain with a windchill hovering around zero made it feel very wintry. A good day for pre Christmas preparations. December seems to be accelerating. As we walked on the fringes of the village at dusk we heard blackbirds chirping loudly. It seems as if they know that it is only a matter of days until the winter solstice and the shorter nights return again.
