Furry bed warmer

Back to look after cat and dog! Long day as we had a lovely service this morning then I had to get out here to take the dog out! Had been to the William yard food fare and got the bud to town and was just about to get the bud to them when I realised I had left the key at home! This meant getting the bud back then a taxi to their house!

That accomplished I had to then go back for the afternoon rehearsal for our concert, Handel Judas Maccabaeus. It was a long rehearsal as it was the first rehearsal for the orchestra and most of them were not used to Christopher, thd conductor. The soloists were magnificent but we normally just rehearse the choir parts and then it is all put together on the night! Instead of ending the rehearsal at 4.45 it went on till about 5.45 bug we slipped out early as I had to get back to walk thd dog!

Fortunately Jane’s husband was being taxi driver and he had been waiting for nearly an hour! We had to be back by 7.00 so I managed to make a cheese sandwich and a lemon curd sandwich and had a fifteen minute sit down.

The rehearsal had not gone well for the choir as christopher was taking some choruses more slowly than in past rehearsals and it was confusing as people were not watching and waiting for his tempo! We were roundly upbraided before we went on and it must have worked because it all went very well, thankfully and we had a lovely reaction from the audience with wild applause! Very tired now! Will look at blips tomorrow!
