Cocktails at the cinema

Went to the Everyman to see Matilda and like the Everyman in London they bring cocktails to your seat. Excellent thing in a cinema.   Matilda was excellent, just as moving and funny as the show and the children were terrific and Emma Thompson quite scary.  It frequently made me weep although not sure if that was nostalgia, tiredness or the cocktail.   Although it is always a wonder that a grumpy misanthrope like Dahl appeared to be can give such voice to children..’when I grow up’ was terrific.  

The rest of the day we did various chores around the house and a bit of Christmas shopping in Winchester before the film.
