Welcome to Redfern

A late afternoon stroll to Redfern in search of the sun or, failing that, the yellow for the sun on the Aboriginal flag. But I was taken more by the mural covering 36 Caroline St, the only house left standing on that stretch of The Block. New student housing on the right.

Oh, and apologies for “phasmid”. They’re stick insects, but the ones T has are spiny. And I was thinking of the ones on Lord Howe Island, thought extinct until they were rediscovered on a rocky outcrop.
