Lucky boy!

We received a phone call from Jack's partner Charlotte late last night saying that Jack had been in an accident whilst driving back from our house to Newcastle. We immediately jumped in the car and drove to Sunderland Royal, where he had been taken.
Our worst fears were put to rest when we saw Jack, he hardly had a mark on him, but was aching all over. After 5 hours in A&E and a thorough going over he was discharged, and so he & Charlotte came back to our house at 4:30am so we could keep an eye on him.
It turns out that he had hit a load of water on a very dark stretch of the A19 near Sunderland, causing him to aqua plane, spin around, go onto the grass verge hitting and uprooting a tree, then bouncing back onto the dual carriageway. He couldn't get out of his door, so he got out of the passenger side and waved down a passing motorist.
Today we went to Jarrow to the garage where his car had been taken to reclaim his possessions that were left in the car. We all got one hell of a shock when we saw the state of the car, he is one VERY lucky boy!
