A dismal, cold and damp day and the weather forecast for the week ahead indicated that it's going to get even colder. 

I didn't get much further than the compost bin at the top of the back garden. In the photo I am wearing a heated gillet which Harriet gave me for my birthday in September. On first inspection, we had doubts about the quality, but I am really impressed with it. I use a small rechargeable power bank which supplies current to heating pads in the material. There are three heat settings and the lowest is normally sufficient when I am out walking.
