Lost and Found

This handsome young dog finished up in our house after a passing motorist found him running up a road nearby.  THe driver needed to leave but at least she took time to make sure the dog was safe.  Handsome young Dog came into our house,  had a good sniff around and some treats then we managed to use a belt as a lead and took him a short walk around the neighbourhood to see if we could find anyone looking for their gorgeously handsome dog.  We couldn't.   So we found out what we had to do, put a couple of notices on local social media and took him to the vets.  Hoorah!  He was chipped!  Boohoo!  The chip wasn't registered to an address!  So we had to leave him for the dog warden to collect and we went home.

Cue...

Man and woman shouting for a dog from the big house down the lane!  He's at the vets!  So they leapt in their car and went to fetch him.  Lucky boy!  He could So easily have been injured.

If you have a dog,  please make sure it is chipped, registered and up to date.  And try to make sure it has some form of identification...
