Jolly

Had intended to put the marzipan on the cake today, but didn't quite get round to it. Ticked an awful lot of other things off the 'to do' list though, and the marzipan will wait until tomorrow afternoon.

Nipped out this afternoon to fetch my repeat prescription, and while I was out bought a couple of stocking fillers and ordered some new 'every day' place mats to replace the cork ones that have reached the point of disintegration! Passed this jolly window display in the antique shop on the way back.

MrM cooked our evening meal, a seasonal 'store cupboard' vegetable casserole. He'd watched a famous TV chef cook it on Saturday morning; apparently the chef's father used to cook one meal a year for his family, and this was it. I think we may have discovered why he only cooked one meal a year...
