Fire in the Sky ...

...early this evening at the end of our street. 

 Today's football World Cup matches determined teams joining the quarter finals (round of sixteen teams).  We watched as Croatia beat Japan in a last gasp thriller.  The teams tied 1-1 in regular time, which continued  through the two required additional two 15-minute periods  They then lined up for five deciding penalty kicks. Japan missed three, and Croatia made three successful ones,  anointing them the winners  :)  Brazil prevailed over South Korea to also join  the quarterfinals., but we didn't watch it.
