NOT EXACTLY A DUCK
I know it's Tiny Tuesday, and although this bird is tiny compared to an ostrich, it hardly fits in the spirit of the competition....and it isn't B&W which is the theme for the day.
~
This is a Common Merganser (Mergus merganser) which is a waterfowl but not a duck. Ducks, basically, do not consume fish and mergansers are fish feeders. Check out the serrations on the bird's beak...perfect for catching slippery fish. These serrations are not present on duck beaks.

This bird lives in the zoo in Milwaukee. Best viewed in Large.

Mergansers are typically silent but they can make noises and they certainly are not quacks. Check it out.
