Drake Manor Inn

A very enjoyable lunch with former colleagues at this 16C pub in the pretty Dartmoor village of Buckland Monachorum. Close by is Buckland Abbey founded as a Cistercian Abbey in 1278 - a daughter house of Quarr Abbey on the Isle of Wight, which much later became the home of Sir Richard Grenville and , Sir Francis Drake.
