Today's the day . . . . .  to volunteer

For the past few months, I've been a volunteer at the Kirkcudbright  'Summer Festivities' charity shop - and it's been such fun!

It raises money to help subsidise all the incredible events, activities and happenings that take place in this small town over the summer months - for those that live here and for the many people who come to visit.  They raise a fair bit of money too, just from donations of clothing, toys, books, household items and general bric-a-brac that are handed in.

But the thing that I enjoy most is the camaraderie and genuine friendliness between all the volunteers who are involved.  And the above are those that I am privileged to share the Tuesday Morning slot with.  From Boss Avril (back centre) to me as new recruit (back right) we're a happy gang . . . . . !
