Day out

I spent a few hours in Hexham, mostly browsing. I did buy a few bits and pieces. Surprisingly I found one of my gift ideas in the Abbey gift shop. Not a religious gift at all but just what I was looking for. I nearly didn't go in but so pleased I did!
When it started to rain it was much less pleasant browsing so I made my way home. The rain turned to sleet and then snow as I came back across to home. So far no laying snow and I hope that continues, at least until I travel down South in a couple of weeks, although it's not looking promising.
I had a much more jolly phone conversation with mum this evening and that made me feel a whole heap better. They have a residents meeting Wednesday and she is determined to go and have her say, fighting talk! That's more like mum!
