Oyster Catchers
My plan is - or was - to keep photography to a minimum over the next 10 days, but of course, I just can’t help myself.
Popping over to Llandudno this morning seemed a fool’s errand - dull, grey, flat light, totally uninspiring. But if you’re just intent on taking a single blip, that’s fine - ideal in fact.
But then, the magic happens. Flat grey turns to shimmering light as the sun breaks through the clouds. West Shore is almost deserted but for oyster catchers and gulls, and a brief walk quickly turns into a photo-fest in the ever-changing light.
I spend a while sneaking up on the oyster catchers, coming close to sinking ankle deep in sticky sand. And it’s these that are the subject of today’s blip - the main a flight shot with an extra collage of some wading on the shore.
