We put new fat and nuts out for the birds as the temperature hits zero.

This triggered the rapid return of Mr Great Spotted Woodpecker.

General overnight frost and and a day time temperature hovering around zero. The frost on the car roof did not melt even after a short drive in the early afternoon.
