The Daintees

First gig of the week is Martin Stephenson and The Daintees.

Many people have been a Daintee and no wonder, I first fell in love with this man's music in 1988 and the line up has always changed. Me and these songs, and thus the man himself, have been in a relationship ever since.

Tonight is gig number who knows, and we went with some of our oldest friends and their mum. Perfect. They know him too, they have also been in love with him and his songs since the end of the 80s.

So, great songs, stories and somehow another rendition, in yet another way, of songs you already think you know.

Something new in old, and something old in new, all at the same time.

Just 4 of them tonight. Grandson of the original drummer drumming, and 'son of a Dunn' playing bass. Kids in tow, with 2 guys in their sixties....
