At last. The big day has arrived and the young people baked a delicious cake to celebrate. The 1000th Blip coincides with what would have been their mother's birthday and I'd like to think that she would have been mildly impressed that I'd made it this far.

Making it to 1000 blips would have been much harder if this were not such a supportive place to be. So everyone who has subscribed or commented or visited has my sincere gratitude and I raised a glass to you all. I'll also raise a glass to the folk at blip central who have provided a platform for my daily slice of life and look forward to hanging around for at least one more day.
