Ice cream castles in the air

Mum got taken into hospital for a scan due to severe stomach pain on Monday night.

The scan, on Tuesday morning resulted in surgery immediately after to shove a hernia back into place and remove a bit of strangulated bowel.

That gave me good cause to leave the office at 3 before the sun set and see the sky which was beautiful with the moon rising and the sky becoming pink and blue and very pretty

There were traffic lights for road works and a lot of traffic on the road but it felt nice to be out on the road during daylight hours

Mum was surprisingly chipper - and I said to her ‘oh gawd you’re stuck in a ward with the oldies…’ then realised that she is probably older than all of them but didn’t look it. Even just having had surgery
