A family gathering

It's been a busy day preparing for our "Christmas" pot luck luncheon on Saturday here at our home.
I spent the morning making a Christmas cake, fruit "truffles" rolled in coconut, ginger fudge and prepping home grown pumpkin which I'll turn into buttered mash flavoured with freshly ground nutmeg and finally assembling the ingredients for Devilled Sausages which I'll cook tomorrow .
The afternoon was spent rearranging the dining room, fully extending the table and laying it in festive style ready for Saturday. We think there'll be about 14 of us...maybe more. Whilst I was busy inside, Dr D spent 3 hours mowing the lawn ...it now looks like a park !
