Delivered some flowers to N as a thank you for last week’s lift to the station and then met Ji and P at a new cafe for coffee. That was good, but the chairs didn’t fit under the tables so a very restricted space even with empty tables and the takeaway cake box for P’s cake looked like it was for a big cookie so only about 3 cm tall. Their only suggestion was to cut a smaller piece of cake of her!
Got home and did a couple of jobs off the list and thenLe picked me up for a walk round Holme Pierrepont water sports centre. We timed it to be there for sunset and it was stunning. Despite there being a few rowing teams out on the water , with their associated coaches on bikes alongside, it was very tranquil, with lots of water birds. Must go again. Got home and had time for a cup of tea and a mince pie before going to the last upholstery session of this year. Made good progress with my foot stool. Had to defrost the car- first time in ages!
