First Frost
Today we woke to the first seasonal frost on the ground, the Slipper Mill Pond frozen over and the thermometer at minus 5C. I managed a blip before the sun thawed the gorgeous sprinkling of ice vermicelli on the leaves (see extra too)
It was one of the most beautiful days with clear blue skies and sunshine and a wonderful to be outside. The starlings have returned to our garden devouring the suet balls in no time at all and seeing off the jackdaws and gulls hovering on the fringes in case of easy pickings falling off the bird feeder.
Looking forward to MasterChef later.
