Early one morning...
It was bitterly cold this morning when we made our way to Dalton Park, a retail complex near Seaham and adjacent to Dalton le Dale. The sun was shining but outside temperature from the warm cab of the car read -1.5c. Our first stop was breakfast, ham and cheese croisants and a piping mug of coffee.
Dalden Tower is a pele-tower at the east end of Dalton le Dale and is the most prominent part of the remains of what was a large medieval manor house complex. The site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and the tower is Grade II* listed on the National Heritage List for England.
