Second Sunday in Advent

A wonderful service at church this morning, observing the second Sunday in Advent, and celebrating Holy Communion, which in our church we do the first Sunday of the month. We enjoyed beautiful music, the beautifully decorated church and a good message. The presents in front of the altar are gifts for others in the neighbourhood less fortunate than ourselves. After the service, we stayed for an Advent study. In the afternoon we watched the England vs Senegal World Cup games. We were very disappointed with the start of the game - England seemed to be playing as if they didn’t care, but fortunately they eventually bucked up and scored some goals!
