Tram tracks
It snowed .. big goosy flakes started drifting past the window just before 9 am, and the shower carried on for an hour. Enough to make a good coating; and it didn't melt much since the air temperature was just about freezing.
We went out later to rescue a gifted lemon tree sent by Royal Mail parcel post; it had already been 10 days in transit from N Ireland, and what with impending strikes and post offices not being open at weekends if we didn't get it right then it would have been another 5 days in the package.
Tram to Murrayfield, found the parcel depot, walked back to Haymarket for a tram to return.
Will see if the tree survives. It's soaking, and will need a bigger pot. There's a sunny south facing windowsill waiting.
