Heron

I walked to the duck pond and took some of the proper food for the ducks. They flocked to eat it - it was cold, the pond is partly frozen, and it was before the schools let out so they haven't gorged on bread!

There was a heron on the pond. I've included a close-up in the extras but it's blurry because I don't have a zoom lens.

I got some lights delivered from Robert Dyas and two (out of a hundred) were missing the star cover for the bulb. I contacted them but of course all they can do is replace the whole set which is really not worth it, so I declined. They are meant for outside, but the tree  lights haven't arrived yet and so for now they are on the tree and looking very pretty.

I got two more present sent to their recipients - Hotel Chocolat chocolates for a couple who are friends of James and Carly but always include Neil and me in their gift giving. 

Christmas cards await. I have one more set of presents to buy, then it's all over bar the wrapping.

We're getting a grocery delivery at 5pm, so I won't be around much this evening. Hope you're all keeping well.
