I woke around 3am to feel the dog shivering and shaking on the bed. I assumed he was cold and covered him with my fluffy dressing gown. He settled down. When I got up at 6am the living room (warmest room in the house) had a temperature of 13! I felt very guilty about dog, as I was warm and toasty in my duvet all night, so have thrown caution to the wind tonight and left the heating on at 17. I’ll get the manual out tomorrow and lower it, but I think I just have to take the hit with the costs. If B was here it would be set at 22 constantly, never mind the cost!

I got a lot of admin done before heading off to the Toby Carvery for the team Christmas meal. They clearly had staffing issues and there were several issues! I’ve not eaten a big full meal in months, preferring to eat small and graze, so was totally full after the first two courses. I was also overdone with the socialising, so I declined dessert and left. Thank you to Stalker, both for arranging everything, and for understanding when I bolted! I did last 2.5 hours.
