Grotesques

Went to our last oceanography class today because we will be away the next few weeks....Our class is on the second floor next to this 1920 3 story gothic style university building that has recently been totally renovated and now houses the departments of economics, sociology and philosophy. But all the grotesques (they're not gargoyles because they have nothing to do with downspouts) on the top of this building are sports figures! Including would you believe one with an oar! One wonders what went on here in the beginning.....

The day started with a perfect row (the water condition, not the rowers' art or skill!) and ended with dinner OUT with a friend. Very nice. but it's clouding up and not so nice is predicted....
