Frost
Our first really hard frost of the year. I started the day by acting as a safety lookout while Alex cut back some of the ride-side bramble at Thorpe Wood with his brushcutter. After an hour of standing still I was pretty chilly, and he'd run out of petrol, so we headed home.
After a hot drink and breakfast I headed out again to another flood meadow where I'd found some interesting dung fungi just over a week ago. Unsurprisingly, they'd all disappeared and all the dung I found was either frozen solid or had been turned over by Rooks, but I found a few more interesting plants, and enjoyed some exercise and sunshine before spending the rest of the day at the computer.
