Access Road

Our cottage is left of centre.  The Old Mam Tor road was abandoned about 50 years ago after multiple collapses.  Exciting downhill ride for MTB riders with sudden and invisible 3 metre vertical drops in the tarmac surface in places.  We had to drive in by the lower (gated) section which is still quite exciting, being reduced to less than half width in places and some steep cross cambers which meant we left before the ice took hold.
You can just see the track from the cottage that is one of the footpath ways to/from the village.
