We are not good with Snow

One of our sons lives in Norway where they would not let a light dusting of snow wreck their weekend.  But here in England  it's a different story.

We were supposed to be setting up tents and control flags for a big orienteering event tomorrow. But the organisers  could not get up the narrow Cumbrian lanes to the barn where all  the equipment is kept and there was an unforecast 4" of snow on the ungritted forest tracks leading to the would be Event Centre.  The event has had to be postponed because we can't set it up in time and who knows how icy and dangerous it will be  tomorrow?

Our other son was supposed to be helping at the weekend event but instead can be seen here shovelling snow off our track before driving  back home to Edinburgh today in the light instead of tomorrow, after the event in the dark .

Mark ( in Norway) would think we're pathetic, just put on your winter tyres, wrap up and get on with things. But I've stayed in the warm today and will not have to get up really early tomorrow. What a relief
