Community

Thoroughly enjoyed the Community Concerts last night and this afternoon.  Yesterday's got off to a somewhat unexpected start when the fire alarm went off half an hour before doors opening. The building had to be evacuated and everyone had to wait for the fire brigade to arrive, which took a wee while as they came from out of town.  Once everyone was in we settled down to a fine's evening entertainment and more this afternoon. 

It truly was a community effort with a local piper to open and close proceedings, local dance groups, including the tiniest of tots. Brownies and Scouts, Members of Community Choir and local singers (including T). Last night also included members from the Dunkeld and Dunkeld  Strathspay and Reel Society.  

It was especially nice to see different groups coming together. 

This morning saw engagement with another community organisation - the local park run.  It was cold but once you got started the walking conditions were really nice as was the coffee in the golf club afterwards.  

A good Saturday.
