Last apple hanging

Early morning, when it was sill quite dark, I was optimistic that today's blip would be snow covered trees or a dusting of snow on the conifers or holly. Alas, by the time it was properly light, the snow had turned to slush as a light rain fell. It remained damp and dull for the rest of the day.
