Frosty fruit
Yesterdays all day long ice and hard frost had disappeared this morning by 10am except for this fruit(quince?) which looked both pretty and festive.
A & I visited St Matthews Church on our way to the shops. It was displaying Christmas trees made by local businesses, They made a lovely show round the church, the organist was practicing, and there were last minute preparations for a christmas market due to start at midday.
The extra is the tree made by A. for The Little Bookshop, the stars and snowflakes are cut from (old) book pages.
The rest of the day was a series of sporting disappointments as one Horse Race meeting after another was cancelled around the country, and later brave England were knocked out of the World Cup by France.
