Winter coat

It was -3 degrees Celsius and the roads were dry but sparkling in places as I drove home from the festivities earlier today, I wasn’t expecting to wake up to a covering of snow.
Not much chance of any sporting activity for me and so after organising auntie I decided a good tramp around the commons and along the river was a good plan. I spotted or heard Jays, coal tit, mallards, gs woodpeckers, long tailed tits, sparrow hawk and plenty of wrens in slow motion. These tiny birds will suffer if the cold snap lasts for a while. Managed to buy a rabbit from our local butcher, popped it in the freezer for a special occasion.
