Leaving Sunbathing to the Dragons

I spotted this imperious-looking Eastern Water Dragon near the Brisbane River today. The morning was coolish (by Brisbane summer standard) so good for walking, but the day soon heated up.  In the afternoon I went to the cinema, lovely and cool.

I saw a fairly niche movie that has already won several awards, 'The Banshees of Inisherin' with Colin Farrell and Brendan Geeson. It's an unusual film, well directed and acted, with light moments but plenty of darkness, set on a remote Irish island in the 1923. It won't be to everyone's taste though I enjoyed it and felt invested in the characters which for me is important in a book or a film.
