A chilly visit

My new raspberry canes arrived 2 days ago, but the ground is frozen, so I can't plant them out at the moment.  So I made a quick visit to the allotment to collect some pots and compost to pot them up for a while.  The compost is now thawing out in the kitchen!!
As I was there, I had a quick look around.  Starting top left and going clockwise:
1 - the rosemary covered in frost, but I suspect it is still flowering under that!!  ;-)
2 - Thomas's asparagus looks beautiful covered in frost.
3 - the lettuce in the cold frame look OK at first glance, but zooming in shows some frosting on the two nearer plants. I hope they survive.
4 - the  saffron crocus look more like brittle stars with their leaves flattened.

6 - the watering cans are both beginning to freeze over in the polytunnel (that has dropped to -5.6 C as some point in the last 48 hours)
Back home to warm up now.
