Blackpool

We had a trip to Blackpool today. Tracey was delivering presents; I was not. Instead I performed a solo climb of the promenade, all the way from South Shore to Bispham. My technology tells me the height gained was 33 metres over the course of 9.42 km. 

On the way, I passed some of the interesting new structures built by the shore; the delightful pagoda-style shelters; the numerous piers; the businesses that are unique to British Seaside resorts; tableaux from the annual illuminations; and some great views of the Lakeland Fells, on the far side of Morecambe Bay, many miles to the North
